In case you missed it, Ruthie Caldwell, MI2 Grants and Funding Consultant, led a panel discussion at the Kentucky Industry Conference. On November 12, MI2 hosted a webinar, “Cleaner & Better: Helping KY Manufacturers Reduce Energy Use and Increase Clean Energy,” to address the rising energy expenses and sustainability challenges facing Kentucky manufacturers. This one-hour session provided attendees with actionable strategies to reduce energy costs and transition to cleaner energy solutions.

What They Heard:
- Assessing Your Plant’s Energy Use: Dr. Mark McGinley from the University of Louisville Industrial Assessment Center shared guidance on evaluating facility energy consumption and answered participant questions.
- Exploring Clean Onsite Energy Solutions: Isaac Panzarella from the Southeast Onsite Energy Technical Assistance Partnership at the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center discussed clean energy options and fielded questions from the audience.
- Funding Your Energy Initiatives: Ruthie Caldwell, MI2’s Grants & Funding Consultant, outlined funding avenues available to support energy initiatives.
