The Metals Innovation Initiative heads into June with a range of projects and initiatives in full deployment. Here is a look at a few things happening around MI2 this month:

  • MI2 will be host its next monthly strategic partner update meeting on Tuesday, June 6th, to discuss MI2 projects, initiatives, and news with a cross-section of our innovation ecosystem partners.
  • The Kentucky/Tennessee GAME Change team will be meeting on Wednesday, June 7th, to discuss our work fueled by our recent NSF Regional Innovation Engine Development Award win. MI2 CEO Vijay Kamineni is leading the Speed to Market efforts for the GAME Change team. See more about GAME Change in one of the June newsletter lead stories.
  • The MI2 Sustainability Strategy Group will be holding an in-person session on Thursday, June 15th.
  • Members of the Kentucky Job Quality Academy Team--including the Metals Innovation Initiative--will be making their first trip to Washington DC for a Job Quality Academy summit organized by the U.S. Department of Labor from June 27th through June 30th. MI2 was announced as part of the Kentucky coalition, one of 16 state efforts accepted for the Academy by the Department of Labor.   • Greater Louisville Inc.'s Advanced Manufacturing Fellowship Network will be hosting a tour of the University of Louisville's Louisville Automation & Robotics Research Institute (LARRI) on Wednesday, June 28th.
