Local leaders are coming together to support workforce stability and opportunity in Hardin County with a major in-person Career Fair on Thursday, January 22, in Elizabethtown. Hosted at the Pritchard Community Center, the event is a coordinated response to recent workforce shifts in the region and is designed to directly connect experienced talent with employers who are hiring now or planning ahead.
Organized with support from the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce, Elizabethtown–Hardin County Industrial Foundation, Lincoln Trail Area Development District, and the Kentucky Career Center, the career fair will focus on connecting employers with approximately 1,500 BlueOval SK employees impacted by recent changes at the plant. These individuals represent a highly skilled workforce with backgrounds in advanced manufacturing, automotive production, logistics, maintenance, and operations.
To maximize accessibility, the event will be held in two sessions: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (ET). Employers and job seekers alike can choose the timeframe that best fits their schedules, making participation easier and more efficient.
For participating employers, the fair offers an opportunity to engage directly with candidates through face-to-face conversations, discuss current and future openings, and even conduct on-site interviews. This in-person format allows companies to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit in real time.
Job seekers will benefit not only from access to hiring employers, but also from on-site resources provided by the Kentucky Career Center and partner organizations. Resume assistance, interview preparation, and workforce guidance will be available to help candidates feel confident and prepared for meaningful conversations.
Whether your organization is looking to fill technical, operational, or leadership roles—or simply wants to build a pipeline of future talent—this career fair offers a strategic way to connect with motivated, ready-to-work professionals while supporting long-term workforce growth in the region.
Employers interested in participating are encouraged to register in advance here.
