The metals industry—and all Kentucky manufacturers—will be coming together in Frankfort this month for a day of networking and insights focused on Kentucky’s manufacturing sector. The Metals Innovation Initiative is honored to be asked to co-host the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers’ 2024 Manufacturers Day at the Capitol. Join industry leaders and executives from across the Commonwealth as the industry converges on the Kentucky State Capitol on Wednesday, February 14th, for dialogue with key members of the Kentucky House and Senate, alongside Executive Branch officials.

MI2 is excited to come to this event and share the various collaborative initiatives our 501(c)(3) is working on, bringing metals industry manufacturers together to collaborate with state and local governments, higher education institutions, startups, subject matter experts, economic developers, workforce development organizations, and others on some of the most significant challenges and largest opportunities facing our industry.

The event is focused on helping to foster collaborations with like-minded professionals and to connect industry leaders with those working in state government.

The event takes place on Wednesday, February 14th, from 8:45 AM –3:00 PM EST at the KY State Capitol Building and Annex, 700 Capitol Avenue, Frankfort, KY. Dress code is business attire.

The night before Manufacturers Day at the Capitol, KAM is also hosting a legislative reception at the historic Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. Co-hosted with Kentuckians for Better Transportation (KBT), this evening event provides an excellent opportunity for industry leaders to meet with their peers, legislators, and others. Beverages and appetizers will be served.

The Metals Innovation Initiative is thrilled to co-host this focus on Kentucky’s manufacturing sector. This event will emphasize the critical role of manufacturing in the state’s economy, and MI2 is excited to share what we are doing to bring the ecosystem together to strengthen the metals manufacturing supply chains critical to so many other industries. Interested in joining the event? Attendance is free, but advanced registration is required. Secure your spot today by contacting Caroline Scott at c.scott@kam.us.com or (502) 417-9585.

Don't miss the opportunity to meet leaders throughout our Commonwealth passionate about Kentucky’s manufacturing sector and to think about how we can all come together to make Kentucky the destination for metals innovation, and innovation through many of Kentucky’s key manufacturing industries.
